Don't book anything. You're staying with us.
We've booked the main villa at Villa Grassina for the nights of Friday 1 and Saturday 2 October, and we're paying for it. Every guest has a room in it. There's no hotel to find, no booking code to quote, and no working out who gets stuck on the far side of Florence.

- The main villa at Villa Grassina
- Pelago, in the hills east of Florence. The rest of the estate, a farmhouse and some apartments, will have other travellers in it.
- Which nights
- Friday 1 & Saturday 2 October
- Two nights, both covered. Arrive Friday, leave after lunch on Sunday.
- Rooms
- Apartments, not hotel rooms
- The estate is made up of self-contained apartments with their own bathrooms, which beats two hotel rooms and a connecting door if you've got kids.
- Cost to you
- Nothing
- Both nights are on us. Flights, and anything either side of the weekend, are yours.
All we need from you is an RSVP, and closer to the time, who's sharing with whom. We'll sort the rest.

Either side
Adding nights in Florence
Plenty of you will want a few days in the city either side, and you should. Here's where to base yourself and roughly what it costs in October. Book those nights around the weekend, not instead of it.
If you're travelling with kids, or splitting with another family, a short-term apartment usually beats two hotel rooms on price and on sanity. Look for somewhere with a lift if you're above the second floor. Florentine buildings are old and the stairs are steep.
