We never threw a wedding party. So we're throwing this one.

Five years ago we got married, and somehow the party never happened. So this October we're doing the bit we skipped. Two nights on a wine estate in Tuscany, with all of you. Come. The beds are covered.

Good news

Your room is on us.

We've booked the main villa at Villa Grassina, an olive and wine estate in the hills east of Florence, for the nights of Friday the 1st and Saturday the 2nd. All of us sleep in the same house and we're covering it. No hotel to book. Nobody stuck on the far side of the city, and nobody driving home after dinner.

Getting there is still on you. Flights, and whatever you do either side of the weekend, are yours to sort out. The Travel page is there to make that easy.

Three days, one of them unmissable

Friday is arrivals and a long dinner. Saturday is the celebration, and it's the one to plan the rest of your trip around. Sunday is lunch, and then everyone slowly leaves.

Yes, we know our anniversary is the 22nd.

We moved the party three weeks earlier on purpose. The 22nd lands in the wettest stretch of a Tuscan October, which we only found out by going and looking at thirty years of records. The first weekend is drier, and it's the warmest of the month, which counts for a lot when dinner is outside. We'll mark the actual date at home.

There's no registry, and there's nothing we need.

You're getting on a plane and crossing an ocean to raise a glass with us. That's a much bigger gift than anything that turns up in a box, and it's the only one we want. Come, eat too much, stay out too late.

Can you make it?

There's no deadline yet. This is more of a save the date than a summons. But we're holding a room for everyone on the list, so if you already know, telling us early makes our lives a lot easier.
